Was recently given a book to read called "Flying Overloaded" by Don Hamilton. This book is fantastic reading as it gives an insight into the harsh Arctic Conditons Don Hamilton had to fly in during the early Arctic days. Don constantly battled death flying in total whiteout conditions, temperatures reaching 70 below zero!, engines freezing, etc.. I met Don a few times while fishing for monster Arctic Char and Lake trout at his fishing Lodge, High Arctic Lodge which is located a couple hundred miles above the Arctic Circle on Victoria Island, NWT, Canada. I highly recommend reading this novel with it's hair-raising episodes.
