ALASKA PENINSULA/ PUMICE CREEK LODGE

For the 24th consectutive year, I had the opportunity to fish for monster silver salmon on the Alaska Peninsula during Sept 7th to 15th. Here, the largest silver salmon in the world swim!
I fished out of Gary LaRose's Pumice Creek Lodge which is located about an hours flight down the Peninsula from the town of King Salmon.

Gary offers flyouts to either Lava Creek for world class arctic char fishing or to the Cinder River for perhaps the best silver salmon fishing in the world.
The first day we opted to fish Lava Creek for char and all 4 of us landed over 50 char.

The rest of the week we spent fishing silver salmon on the Cinder River. My best day was 93 silvers landed and everyone left with sore arms.

In all, one of the best fishing trips I have taken worldwide. Am heading back next September, so if intersted in joining my group please let  me know.  For more information check out www.garylarose.com

La Zona FOR MONSTER GOLDEN DORADO

With the start of spring in the Southern Hemisphere, the golden dorado are feeding aggressively before the spawning cycle occurs.  Here is when you have a great chance of catching that monster golden dorado you have been dreaming of.  As I have written in numerous posts, La Zona Lodge on the Uruguary River boarding Argentina and Uruguary offers the best possibility.  La Zona Lodge has A+ guides who know where the monster dorado will be.  The lodge offers fishing for up to 6 rods with 2 boats fishing inside the zone near the Salto Grande Dam on Friday to Monday.  Lodging, food, etc  are the finerst I have experienced throughout my fishing adventures worldwide.
La Zona Lodge books quickly so book soon for 2013 or see if there are any last minute cancellations.

ALASKA PENINSULA SIVER SALMON

With the weather finally starting to cool down in the Midwest and other parts of the USA, the attention in Alaska turns to silver salmon.  These brutes are found in numbers and huge size on the rivers of the remote Alaska Peninsula.  I have fished the Peninsula for over 20 years always targeting large silvers up to 20lbs.  I have found the best place is the remote Peninsula rivers fished out of the little known Pumice Creek Lodge which is operated by Gary LaRose, wwwgarylarose.com.  Gary has been in lodge/guiding business for years and grew up in the fishing/hunting environment as his father owed a few lodges during his upbringing.  Gary offers daily flyouts to the Cinder River for big silvers which are easily landed on either spinning, casting or fly equipment.  Also if your really nice to Gary perhaps he will take you for a day trip to Amber Bay which is where some of the largest silvers on earth swim!
I have a group heading for arm to arm combat with silvers shortly.  If intersted in a last minute trip or perhaps next season get in touch with me soon.
